It doesn't matter if they use it for anything nefarious or not. The fact that they CAN is the problem.
If they can then so can anyone else who gets their hands on that collated data which, given how frequent security breaches have been in the past 5 years, should worry you at least a smidge.
Maybe not to the point that you get crippling anxiety but at least enough that you don't willingly sign your entire life away for free.
Come on, guys. These days everyone should have at least one remotely maintained, well established false identity. You never know when it might come in handy.
