So after a bit over an year of doing this, there were fewer and fewer of those dog packs from the plant left and the nights were peaceful and I could sleep. Me and the dogs still stayed friends but there was no need to go after the invader doggos, because there were none.
Now, Sheep was an old dog, so that was just fine by her. And at some point I turned 18 and I had to go to college and leave my home town. But whenever I came back, those two dogs were beyond themselves with happiness. They followed me wherever I went, I was never without them while running errands and shit. Even waiting for me while I got my hair cut.
So after some time, my folks told me Sheep was sick and had very little energy, always laying around and being lethargic. Thought she wouldn't survive until the next time I came back. But she did. And she wasn't slow at all, she was as happy as energetic as ever when I was around, everybody said her behavior changed when I came back. Guess she was putting a brave front for me. That was the last time I saw her. She died probably, but went somewhere away to do it, nobody ever saw her body.
A year later I came back and other one, the younger one was gone too. I think somebody had poisoned him. Those two were always barking at gypsies and hobos, so maybe it was one of them. Killed for barking, wouldn't that be ironic. After they helped me establish a peaceful and dog pack free neighbourhood, free of barking from 12 to 5 every night.
RIP my two doggos Sheep and Stupid (how I named the younger one, she was pretty stupid), you were the best bros.>>4591604
Yeah I know they castrate stray doggos in more civilized countries. They do it here too, but the strays never go away for some reason.
