That's one of the main reasons I see pop up around /a/ and some of the review sites I'd rather not name. We also have to remember that the initial run of Brave Witches had some real QUALITY.
That aside, I feel the same way as the other guy about Brave Witches, but with the addition that the Neuroi were more interesting. Anyway, I also really appreciated the MC progression. In Strike Witches, Yoshika starts as some backwoods nobody who has never even seen a gun or a striker and within a couple episodes she's Galm 1.
In Brave Witches, Hikari starts off incompetent but willing and receiving training and by the end of the series she's...not dead weight? Just feels better in my eyes.
