Im familiar but youll never see them in anything racing or sporty, only "adventure bikes". Even for them I think its a meme, tires just dont perform good on +2,35", too slow, and more important, too squirmy in cornerns for control.

all good in cycling tech is a smart tradeoff. its almost never linear progress. Wide bars are worth the tradeoff a million times.
