Some passengers say they feel the train was accelerating at the time.
Also, according to camera footage it's determined the train's speed at the time of the accident was close to 140km/h - below the trains' max speed but above the operational maximum. And the speed is almost double the max speed of the curve.>>1249202
I heard some pointed out that the train safety system was made in Europe despite it is a Japanese train?>>1249083
The train have ATP. And then according to report the ATP was being shut down manually when the accident occur. Because there are faulty component on the train.
Report claim they tried to fix a faulty component at an earlier station but they couldn't so they decided to send the train down to the next station who h is more than a hundred kilometers away and arrange a transfer for passengers there
And then it seems like the driver wasn't looking at the speed meter because that thing failed as part of the mechanical fail
And then the failure also possibly make the train unable to break or even increase in speed before it reach the location of crash.
Actually who on earth would think it's a good idea to send a train with inoperative ATP and fault components down the railroad and then who would think it's a good idea with all passengers onboard and doing so at a high speed? That's almost like murder
