Random n questions thread. To start.

>Why don't planes fly at around 10,000 feet where the air is still quite thick? Travelling at over 30,000 feet the engines have to work harder and burn more fuel plus it means more distance to travel.

>Why don't trains have carriages with lights off at night so you can actually enjoy the view
Sure it's a security issue but it makes a more pleasurable journey and saves energy
