Because we can sue Ford everytime someone drunk drives and we can sue victorinox whenever someone is stabbed. This is an attempt to kill gun manufacturers via lawyer fees for frivolous lawsuits. Gun makers are liable for if their product blows up and harms the user due to not being safe.
