Gen-Xer here. I was too young to do anything about it, but it really was.
The election of Bill Clinton brought with it an administration full of people like Hillary, extreme social radicals from the early 1970s who became career politicians and professors. By the 1990s, they had become established in their careers and started being able to move the needle of public policy.
Flash forward another 30 years and those radicals from the 70s are now at the end of their careers. They are Senior Partners at law firms, Department Heads and the Chairmen of powerful congressional committees.
That’s the bad news. The good news is this is as high as they will rise, and their careers are almost over. When they retire in the next 5-10 years, their insane agendas will go with them.
And you know who will replace them? Reagan-era conservatives.
