I've got two problems with the Crooked River (and mini) that lead to my selling / replacing them.
A: (and this is a biggie) the wooden and aluminium parts have a seam between them and my palm was catching ever so slightly on the edge. Over a long enough time line it might smooth out or it might give you splinters or it might just be a hotspot that lasts forever. YMMV.
B: The blade and handle look brilliant.. when in use. Folded the gap between the spine of the blade and the pivot point looks dumb as fuck and might catch on stuff. Pic related.
Plus for a hot off the presses Benchmade, the Mini could have been a better steel than S30v for the money. Not that it's not fine steel, it's just a bit of a stretch to ask $190 for it.
I wanted to EDC the Mini because I loved the open look and the more traditional styling but those three points chased me back to my 940 right quick.
