Thanks for the good luck anon. If you can get to a patch of woods without too much trouble, I definitely recommend it even if you just bike out someplace to relax in the quiet without building anything it's very nice. If you're so deep in a city that this is impossible, I'm very sorry.
The only real plan with the roof was to keep laying long sticks across until it formed a level surface, then stick some rugs or something up under the tarp for added insulation, maybe some brush between the two. The building that got knocked down last year was mostly the same, but I was able to bring some cardboard out there to line the ceiling with under the tarp and made a pretty level surface above your head.
At the moment, if it still stands, the new place has some light brush temporarily shoved up under the tarp to try and give some support for any rainwater, without something under it any spot in the tarp with some slack will tend to fill with water and start pulling downward, putting additional weight on the roof. All the gaps in pic-related should be filled in with solid sticks eventually then hopefully lined with rugs if I can find some junk ones to sacrifice.
