Honestly, I'd go for a mix between heavy calorie density as well as a mix of tasty shit.
Pasta's do work well and assuming you know basic foraging (better yet advanced) you can do quite a lot and precarbing the night before helps greatly.
Rice again with foraging you can do a lot with them.
A mix of fruit and veggies dehydrated helps with loss nutrition
I'd avoid MRE's as they weigh a lot and honestly, don't fill me up nor supply enough calories for the weight. Yes they do pack like 5k calories each but so does brownies with 1/2 the weight and they taste better.
I am unfamiliar with the area but fishing could be a option which may help you greatly.
My normal load out for 1-3 days is a 7k calorie minimum a day so 21k total (just encase shit hits the fan ya know?)
>Rice with a mix of lentils as well as veggies
>Chocolate brownies about 4 1" squares. Seriously it makes life better
>pasta, mix between different grained ones and egg based ones
>Banana chips, apple slices, cranberries, blue berries, prunes, etc all dehydrated
>chocolate covered coffee beans because fuck it.
>jerky or dehydrated fish because it helps with spicing things up
>flour, sugar, salt etc
It depends greatly on the time of the year and whats available but generally that's my load out. Weighs at the end of the day about 2.5-3.5 pounds per day for food.
