Unironically, people who have been crippled since birth shouldn't exist let alone be taken out on trails. Aside from the rare minority that manage to hold down stable jobs, the overwhelming majority leech off welfare for a lifetime while receiving expensive operations and they still don't have a good quality of life. I will never understand why environmentalists don't advocate for eugenics.
After all, cripples literally represent the existence of a society which is far too soft. If you know that your child is completely unable to partake in anything for the good of the community but they take twice the resources to survive why should you bother?
It's even worse when you realise you need all of that industrialisation to allow cripples access. You literally need to get rid of parts of the outdoors so cripples can have access. Where I live, no one even thinks about doing things like that for the disabled. We have trails going all over the place through hills and moors and beside cliffs. There's not even sand on the trail though. It's just there because so many people walk over the trail.
