I live in Arizona>115 degrees highnoon for 1/3rd of the year.>Only the Gila and Salt Rivers in the Maricopa county area
I would head to the Salt river when night falls, for the most crucial component of life, and dig a marshy area of the river bed (it's really empty) for water to pool. Follow it east into the apache mountains where it actually has more water. Can eat pine nuts, trap game, eat misquite beans, drink agave syrup when they flowering, just survive off prickly pear cacti jam, and misquite flat bread. You could also eat rattle snakes.
