This? This is a statement cam. It does indeed have a smartphone sensor with a ridiculous, insane, crazy 3000 mm equivalent zoom lens that is not detachable.
I got one of these for free from Nikon to give them a full fledged opinion. I had it for exactly 9 days, took it on 2 short trips to the mountain and to the beach and I took about 300 pictures with it.
Wanna know how good this camera was? After I gave my official 2 cents about it in a 10 pages long piece (that never made it anywhere due to how brutally honest I was), I immediately sold the camera for cheap just to rid myself of the atrocity. Not only that, I didn't even bother saving a single picture taken with it. Zoom is nice but the quality of the sensor. Fuck me your average S10 or iPhone XS sports similar quality or better, they just don't zoom deep enough to penetrate any personal space.
The sensor OBVIOUSLY lacks hard time. It goes all the way up to a staggering 1600 iso yet the second you leave 100 iso, noise appears literally EVERYWHERE. Shit, my old piece of shit entry level DSLR from 2006 had better performance at 1600 iso than this piece of shit has at 200 iso.
The zoom is creeper mode enabled. As the first comments state, it's a great "beach creepshot" or "look into people's houses in HD" type of camera. But the price? Fucking. Garbage.
It's the mother and father of all point and shoot cameras ever made. But Christ, for that price you're MUCH better off getting a D7200 with a kit lens of 18-140 or an 80D with a kit lens of 18-135. You get an actual DSLR body with a decent lens for almost anybody who wants to shoot (unless you're ultra elitistic and need your 1.2 aperture or stupid sharp quality images) + you can actually afford decent quality, even when you look at 1600-3200 iso without half as much noise as that crappy p&s pajeet scheme "camera".
They added both 4K and Raw capturing for the sake of having cute badges on your point & shoot. Total disaster features for this one.
