>>3599070> My understanding is that the wider the lens, the closer your new focus point and the larger your subjects projection on the sensor, correct?
I'm not exactly sure about the optics of it, but with the Fuji 16mm tube, my XF 50-140 lens is approximately orthographic over its entire range (i.e. the size of objects barely changes when I zoom in or out - the only thing that it really influences is the focus range).>>3599077
The Fuji tubes are expensive *but*
* They are really nice (extremely tight fit, very durable)
* You can get them a lot cheaper on the gray market. I think I paid like $50 for an MCEX-16 in Hong Kong. Try using Greentoe or something.
You could probably find a third-party one for cheaper but honestly knowing that my lens isn't going to rattle around or break off and the electronics will work correctly is worth what I paid.>>3599094
Haha awesome man. I remember doing all kinds of crazy shit with protoboards back in high school. Necessity is the mother of invention. My side projects look a lot different now that I have money.
Another macro shot.
