It’s one of the most practical m-cameras ever (along with the M7 and RX-A Bessas) on grounds of aperture priority alone.
But I think it’s even more practical due to the smaller size and weight. If it’s too small for your hands you can put the small grip on it which brings it up to the bulk of the other cameras (if that), is ergonomic to hold and can be removed any time.
The M5 is also a great camera, easily the most ergonomic Leica body and controls (body shape, shutter ring, meter display, aperture visible in viewfinder). And the quickest to shoot if you disregard the aperture priority M7.
