I agree. As much as I like the Australian locos, the options to get the trains in model form are very limited. Plus when you find one that is a good quality model, the cost of it is ridiculous.
British locos have A LOT more options at a decent price.>I wish I had the time or space to spend on a layout of my own, but as it is space is at a premium in my house so I only ever dig out a circle of track to lay around the tree come Christmas.
I know the feeling brother. It's only recently I've moved into a new house that has a large garage that I've made into my workshop. My layout will be but suspended from the ceiling of the workshop with a pulley system. So I can retract it up to the roof when I'm working, then lower it and crack a beer and run trains after.
