If you really want to play some trains sims then here is a little list.
The one I recomend the most is Open Transport Tycoon Delux. OTTD is an open source version of the classic Transport tycoon. Not only does it have 4k+ tile maps (that's huge!) but it also multiplayer which can have over 400+ people playing at the same time, mods gallor, open source so you can mod it yourself, works on everything from your super computer to your toaster. AND ITS FREE! https://www.openttd.org/screenshots.html
If you want something with a bit more fancy graphics and plays a wee bit different but not to much then look at open Locomotion, the open source version of Locomotion.https://github.com/OpenLoco/OpenLoco
If you want something a bit less autistic but still need a bit of a chalange then look to Railroad Tycoon 2. It's cheap and has plenty of fixes to run on moderen systems.https://store.steampowered.com/app/7620/Railroad_Tycoon_II_Platinum/
If you want RRT2 but in DATED 3D VISION then Railroad Tycoon 3 is also on steam and it's just as fun of a game.https://store.steampowered.com/app/7610/Railroad_Tycoon_3/
If you want RRT3 but with MODERN GRAPHCS then Railway Empire is a good choice. It's also on the nintendo switch so you can play it anywhere! Runs just as well in docked and handheld modehttps://store.steampowered.com/app/503940/Railway_Empire/
If you want current graphics with the autisim of OTTD then play Transport Fever 2. Very solid game, pretty graphics, great technology to really make those giant rail lines and lots of mods to download.https://store.steampowered.com/app/1066780/Transport_Fever_2/
