Since this is an eBay thread and it's sorta topic related, I'll go ahead and ask here.. How long should I wait before it's not considered rude to contact the seller asking him why the fuck he hasn't sent my package yet?

I've gotten some pretty bad luck lately with auctions I've won/items I've bought where it's been several days and the sellers still haven't shipped out. Hell, some still haven't even printed the shipping label.

Just saw something hilarious happen: up for auction was a ultimate soldier UH1-C helicopter, these things go for $250 or more if they are in-box and complete, easily $300 mint; anyways the auction was sitting at very low for the longest time, like $50 or so, typically it picked up HARD at the last minutes..then by the seconds until it ended at $150+$35 shipping...wow what a deal right? Well it had a reserved price apparently and the thing was put back on sale. I can just imagine the "winner" face lol.

Seller that I just bought from apparently got suspended, I already paid and he gave a tracking number in preshipment. He had very little feedback but it wasn't a brand new account. Weird, one mine fucked up so bad that I got an FBI email mixed in with Ebay's email to provide any information if I believed it was incriminating to the seller (which was weird since they could just check ebay's messages, but whatever), but I didn't give them anything. The other was an apology from ebay and a message telling me about the refund.

Since this is an eBay thread I'll hijack it for a little to ask a question..
I'm trying to return and refund a figure because he listed and sold it as NIB when it was opened and had broken parts.
He agreed to a refund but when I asked for him to go through the process so I could get and print a shipping label, he tells me he can't because he already refunded the sale and he's asking me to ship it without eBay's shipping label and he'll just reimburse me the shipping costs via PayPal.
Is this legit, or is he trying to scam me out by sending him back the figure without eBay's tracking so that he can cancel the refund or something?

yeah he can't do a chargeback on the refund, but he might need your paypal address since ebay hides email addresses usually now. the only thing you are risking is being out the cost of the label if he doesn't follow through on comping you.

Send him your PP address. Tell him to pay the shipping cost. And then ship it.

Most Ebay sellers are not evil. They get screwed a lot too.

Seller is either a scammer or an idiot. Did you check to see if he actually refunded you? If he didn't actually refund you yet, file an INAD case.

eBay does say it was successfully refunded though and that I'll see the money back in my account in 3-5 days. I was just afraid that, since I've never done a return before so I'm not completely aware of how the whole process goes, that there might be a way for him to cancel the refund once I ship the figure back. But, anon from earlier said he can't undo that so I guess it really is just him being stupid. The guy seems to be a new seller so I'm willing to chalk it up to him just not knowing what he's doing.
