>>7708014>The Mummy 2017 had NOTHING except some of the mummy herself
There was a lot of good stuff. Whole intro with that evil creature, burned tattoos and killing the baby. Then scenes in her tomb. Amazing design, dark and eerie with creative chain system holding her coffin submerged. This was one of best tombs/temples/ruins since Raiders of Lost Ark. Scenes in forest and catacombs were nice too. I didn't like Jekyll's office but it's not a reason to trash whole movie, especially with said tomb or even plane crash. Speaking of which, the following sequence with mummy walking up and killing rescue team was straight from creepy horrors. Not to mention very sensual climax with Tom breaking the curse and sending her back to coffin. The movie wasn't perfect, I didn't like undead friend or annoying blonde but it was somehow fresh and didn't feel like another generic Indiana Jones. Here's a MOC from year or so ago, inspired by this terrible movie.
