I bring good news! My Takeya Predator came in today, and I can happily say that it looks and feels pretty darn amazing. Paint slop is minimal, and to be honest, I have to look close to see any at all. The textures and finishes on the paint also generally look right, which can be a huge issue with bootlegs. It really looks just like a retail Figma to me. Joints are all tight and responsive. Accessories seem to work as they should, everything plugs in well and stuff like the combistick comes apart and partswaps just fine. Helmet swapped on well too. The skirts, knee, and shoulder pads feel loose, but like...in a good way? If that makes any sense. They like, move around with a surprising ease, but it doesn't feel like they're going to fall off.
So, now for the few annoyances. The joint at the base of the neck was split in two halves when it arrived, and sometimes while posing it still separates. It can be pushed back together easily with a pair of tweezers or something similar though. The feet are just sliiightly hard to balance because the toes point upward a bit, but I think this is just how they were sculpted. The frontmost segments of his dreads pop off very easily, but they pop back on just as easily. It's irritating, but not a huge deal. The stand is loose but you can probably tighten it with a screwdriver or hell, just use any other legit Figma stand, you probably have a bunch already.
Overall, spectacular deal. Especially for the price I paid, the issues are negligible, and the positives far outshine them. This is easily one of the best bootlegs I have ever purchased, and in fact, is possibly just a factory second. 10/10, would absolutely recommend.
