The more I look at the new one, the more I kind of hate it. The old one is less accurate to the character, but it's got more personality. The new one nails the overall Wheeljack "look" better, but there's something wrong with literally every part of it;>upper arms too short and hollow>forearms too long, flat, and kibbly. Really ugly from any angle except the top.>wings too short, don't even look like wings>torso is fucking terrible>legs are bland, ugly and hollow>only one blaster and it's short and shitty looking
I know the old one only technically had one gun, but it also had the wrenches which are still one of the most inspired integrations of weapon storage I've ever seen on any figure. Heck, it doesn't even have posability over the Generations one because that thing is loaded with joints. I think the only thing it has objectively is a better head sculpt and less of a backpack.>>7791055
The alt mode looks neat as a render, but in photos it was pretty lame. I like that we got some racing decals on it this time, but that partsforming windshield looks awful. It's obvious it's like that so he can have his signature curved windshield in car mode at least, while allowing the mold to still work for future retools, but ultimately it just ruins the windshield in both modes.>>7791058
Are those kibble wings accurate to something? They look fucking horrid. I like the old one better in concept, if not execution.>>7791062
I'm torn here. I like the new truck mode, but the old one is kind of cool, but in a different way. And I much prefer the actual tow hook that transforms into a gun, as opposed to whatever that clusterfuck of orange plastic on the new one is supposed to be.>>7791067>>7791068
They fucking nailed Cliffjumper, though. I like the old mold, but the new one is pretty perfect. I'll definitely pick it up once it gets repainted into something more interesting than Cliffjumper. Fingers crossed for like Hubcap or maybe a Throttlebot or something.
