Mezco has done all plastic figures, like the Iron Man figures.
But Mezco is known for their high quality tailoring on their toys. One of their biggest lines was (is?) Living Dead Dolls that's been going on for about two decades.
Also, eastern style figures done by the west isn't as costly as the overbilking Japanese companies lead you to believe. DCC planned out and made SHF-like engineered figures with better paint for $30-45, with the more expensive figures containing electronics. Shit ended up bombing because they were based on the movies and DC movie shit doesn't sell.
Also, western companies already do a good enough job that it seems moot to most collectors, hence these threads full of adult collectors buying children's figures over stuff like OP's.
Mezco's popularity just shows that collectors would rather put our money into clothed figures instead too.
