I've tried setting the frame rate to auto detect, etc., but i still get input lag

looks like the problem isn't the emulators
it's an issue with my controller

does anyone know how to solve this? i get input lag from my 8-bit do sn30 pro +

It's android. I have the same pad and it lags on anything that is android. It's perfect for PC over bluetooth but not great on this.

I haven't had any controller, android marketed or not, not have higher input lag on android phones or tablets than on PC/consoles. I have an m30 and an SN30 Pro+ and they aren't laggy on any other platforms.

If it is a switch controller then it IS an Android problem, Switch Bluetooth mode was not fully supported by Google until Android 10, there's workarounds for it but require a rooted phone or sketchy 3rd party apps.

Upgrade your Android OS, get a custom rom if your manufacturer doesn't, or better yet, use an Xbox controller.

Love retroarch for the compatibility and options but setting some things up is a total bitch. And it stretches overlays on anything wider than 16:9.

It had a cheap build but it had a soul. If Valve was to make a proper version with improved build and gyro (switch has a way better sensor IMO) it would sell spectacularly. Opened my eyes to the holy light that is gyro-aim. The trackball tactile shit was brilliant. And with some better rumble (again like the switch) and more comfortable grip, everybody would be using it.
