They do rerun events pretty often, in a "light mode" that pretty much grinds itself while you do the new events.
They also give out tickets you can use to unlock older events every once in a while.

But rerolling isn't really that necessary in Rays, with the way characters and progression are set up. Though you still can do it if you want.
They also recently added a thing where you can pick a starter character, making rerolls even less necessary.
