The entire Johto series was shit to begin with. It was riddled with way more pointless episodes than any other season- despite thrice the episodes almost nothing happened with the actual pokemon team itself.
The only Pokémon that had something going for it in terms of the writing was Bayleef, and then in the league, they tossed that in the trash to make Charizard look better.>38369080>People always grade on a curve for the Kanto mons because they have the most distinct and notable personalities
No. If you had just stuck to "not been a dud" or "not unmemorable", I could have agreed, but distinct personalities?
Muk has no personality beyond "affectionate". Kingler has almost no discernable personality whatsoever(instead getting by by having an awesome first fight). Tauros flat out had less personality than any pokemon since.>We all distinctly know... Tauros
A lot of people don't even know Ash even had a Tauros in the first place as they stopped watching after the Indigo League, and Tauros didn't make it's first appearance until Episode 111 in the west, and then by 115 he was back to not existing until Johto, where he saw a fair bit more use.
Tauros is more of a Johto mon than a Kanto mon in terms of screentime.
