My ex and I broke up about a year ago, we didn't talk for a while, but we started again recently. We both want to be friends, but about a month ago when we started talking I had the following conversation with a separate friend about it:
-We talked a bit about relationships.
-Always a shitty topic.
-I opted into it. She asked if I was married to a playboy bunny, I asked back how she was doing. One of those dumb things, you gotta ask, but you don't wanna know.
-We even talked about sex. Not specifics, but like, getting vs. not.
-You don't seem torn up bad though so that's good.
-Not real bad. Just more than I should. They're weird feelings it's been a while since I felt.
-Is it about her or you? If it's the latter it's better.
-Hmm, good question. Probably a bit of both, but I think mostly me? I know I'm not gonna ever be with her, so it's like whatever.
-That's better, means it isn't residual infatuation.
-Maybe I think it's about wanting to know she felt the same way.
-I could see that. Gotta figure though: even if she did, or does, would she say so?
-Well, I suppose I didn't. So there's that.
Can't really share pain, OP, even if there are people out there willing to take it off you. But people still empathize. That's a great photo, OP. Is it you two?
