Thanks for sharing. Usually I'm not huge on "vanity" threads, but this one is inclusive enough and has interesting cross-pollination, so thank you for something different & creative.
Feedback on your excerpt later.
But, I'll suggest that if you have any comments on the material posted so far as to how hit or miss they've been, it could be helpful to try and deliver more that stays closer to the parameters you're interested in. More cyberpunk-futuristic or more retro-WWI, for instance?
I posted the small gas mask series, BTW, including the WWI photos. Made me think carefully about it while searching those up, especially the experience of fitting them for maximum protection. Eye protection is essential, for instance, and greatly impacts the user experience ... something I relate to through my SCUBA diving experiences. Especially if covering the ears is required; communications and observing the world become an interesting chore.
Made me think a bit about current space tech for helmets and full face masks for re-breather units in SCUBA. What sort of embedded communications, sensors &/or computing power (if any) become interesting considerations.
The sort of decorations kids might add was something I'd never imagined before, either: >>6495295
Consider some of the sticker & stencil swag that people put on their laptops for inspiration on this aspect, as well as stencil graffiti used by street artists. Tagging your own personal gear that you live with daily becomes obvious once the first idea occurs.
