This quote and this pape always motivate me not to work out. What the fuck do I care what some old ass Greek welfare queen from 2500 BC said I had the "right" to do? You weren't even remarkable amongst your peers, you were just the showboatiest philosopher. It's not like you ever had to actually work, you just had to do that false humility routine and people would worship you and bring you some more wine and bread. You were an orator, good for you, I'm a pretty decent writer and speaker myself but it's not novel anymore because we've built a world where we can all easily explore those aspects of our minds. So opine away from beyond the grave about how important natty lifting is, but I have work needs doing and not enough life to get it done in, I can't be slacking off like a Greek, I don't want to leave the next generation with unpaid debnts, I have to make the computer do what I tell it to so we can keep figuring out new things. And no, I don't mean better alloys for deadlifting bars, and I don't mean better ways to stack up stone temples.
