VPNs aren't made for "muh anonymity" if that's what you want. They're made for connecting remote computers onto the same network. If you need that but are too stupid/lazy to host your own VPN then use Hamachi like everyone else. If you need more than 5 users then host your own VPN.
You should host the VPN service yourself on a RaspberryPi or any PC that will always be on your network. You can use OpenVPN for that. If you don't want to be responsible for hardware, then you can rent a VPS and host a VPN there.
If you want to use bittorrent but torrenting is punishable in your country, then use Tribler. It works over Tor.https://wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_private_network
A virtual private network (VPN) extends a private network across a public network, and enables users to send and receive data across shared or public networks as if their computing devices were directly connected to the private network. Applications running on a computing device, e.g., a laptop, desktop, smartphone, across a VPN may therefore benefit from the functionality, security, and management of the private network.https://wikipedia.org/wiki/LogMeIn_Hamachi
