Portugal in AoE2 is somewhat inacurrate.
The Portuguese have the Italian Architectural style, which is completely fine FOR THE XV century and over.
Medieval Portugal, durinh the Reconquista in X to XIII century was a lot more similar to the Western European set in the game.
Also the Portuguese bonus and Unique Units involve Ships and gumpowder units including the Caravel and the Organ Gun, but those are units and techs from the XV century and beyond.
The Portuguese wonder was built in the XVI century.
And the Portuguese campaign was set in the XV century as well.
This is a Medieval game for fuck sake, I want to play Portugal as D.Afonso the Conqueror and beat the Moors in 1145, i wanna play as D.Nuno Pereira and beat the Spaniards in 1385 I dont wanna to play as some random governor in india in the 1500's.
