There is a difference between record lows and average lows. The east is cold af, yes, I am not denying this, nor am I making it a contest. I am pointing out the shortsightedness of your post, since some people can't see things beyond their tiny perception of the world. My point is that Alaska has a massive difference in climate, Just because Anchorage is warmer than some spots in the lower 48 does not mean that those areas are colder than AK as a whole. Interior AK and western interior Canada are routinely colder on average than any spot in the lower 48. -40f is the average low in some places.
For clarification, I am an American born and raised, I don't live in Alaska nor have I pretended to in my post. And I know and use both metric and imperial, though I actually prefer metric 2bh. I try to keep my posts impartial and as informative as possible based on factual info and data. I don't understand the irrational anger but I hope you have a nice day regardless.
