>>9322199>We heard there was specifically some kind of issue between Margot and BoP Harley
Like i said, they might get a cut.
She likely renegotiated her contract, hence being a producer of Birds of Prey.
Likeness still belongs to WB though and whatever is licensed will carry over everything, including likenesses.>There's also the no Joaquin Joker mandate, but who knows who that actually came from
Did you see all the bad press for that movie? Because it got a lot of bad press, mostly from the fear and violence mongering news media. This is why there was like no merch for the movie. Pretty obvious why Joker toys were purposely passed over. Even two years later, they'll still very tight about licensing anything out
Anyway, the fact that McFarlane already had that BoP figure made and advertised before his license for DC even started shows that every licensor had the rights to make/release the figure. Same with Funko and bunch of other companies. No company wastes effort like that if they didn't have the licensing rights already. Why it was delayed, who knows. Her likeness rights are still WB's though and were signed away when she took up the Harley role.
Anyway, this is as retarded as the people who claimed that Jennifer whatever from the XMen movies denied Hasbro/Diamond/Bandai/etc from making toys of her. It was obvious that Marvel/Disney was trying to starve Fox from merch sales.
Movie studios are ferocious and wouldn't let any actor escape signing their souls away for dat sweet sweet merch cash.
