Methinks you're attributing clever intent to what plainly is shit writing, just like people who say that protags in Persona 3 onwards are intentionally written as subtle manipulators, because almost all the social links amount to saying whatever the person in question wants to hear.
In truth, Guda is a hypocrite because your entire squad are hypocrites, certainly since beginning of Lostbelts, if not since Singularity 5, because of shit writing that still maintains them as flat generically-heroic characters in a story that went from "kill Demon King with the power of friendship" to "interdimensional colonialists genociding inferior civilizations", pic related. And only in LB2, which, IIRC, involved guest writers, anyone calls them out on it, even in-character.
Similarly, Guda being an emotional chameleon is a cope, because the narrative never recognizes him as such. He is never shown changing gears instantly depending on whom he's talking to, or being at a loss when dealing with multiple radically different personalities, or cracking under a villain's dominating presence. He's simply a narrative blank state that says or does whatever is appropriate for the plot. Mash is effectively an MC, but Trashu is also an absolutely generic hero, except with tits (which only come to play when she tries to coclblock you).
