>>857610>Makes the same fucking IRL timeline of African empires and tribes resisting for around the EU4 period and then instantly getting fucked over when Vic 3 stuff starts happening
It's literally not even resistance, OTL eurofags really just didn't give that much of a shit about Africa. Sure, everyone s.oyfagged for Timbuktu (and prester john). But the jungles had malaria which basically killed off most attempts at going deeper into most parts of Africa, European presence in Africa for most of the pre-industrial era was literally just>Trading posts in West Africa, mainly for slaves, which was one of the biggest exports of most parts of Africa at the time, to the exterior at least.>The cape of good hope. For most of this period, it was dutch and also had the highest concentration of Europeans in Africa.>The Portuguese dicking around in Mozambique (named after an island btw) and Angola, with the buddies in the kingdom of the Kongo nearby, the Portuguese did some mad shit in Africa before the 1800s/scramble for Africa.>Random ass fucking islands all of them uninhabited when they got there.>Just some other fucking forts trading posts/outposts other random miscellaneous shit, like sierra leone, a philanthropic venture.
In reality, Believe it or not, most of Europe was concentrated in staking it out on America and Asia, aka where the gold and spices were (Also less malaria)
Africa was just an entrepot and slave obtention station. Didn't try all that hard.
